Our client, a leading refining company seeks to recruit a Jetty Section Head.
The ideal candidate shall be a graduate in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 9 years of experience in Oil Terminal Operations of which 4 years should have been in a senior supervisory level. He must be a computer literate with good knowledge of both written and spoken English Language. He must possess valid UAE driving License.
The main responsibilities include: Directs, controls and supervises the activities of Marine oil terminal operations and import finished / raw products, coordinates and advices on all company marine related matters to ensure efficient and safe handling of vessels to load at the Ruwais Refinery Jetty. Includes berthing and loading requirements and ship’s/shore safety check, optimizes manpower resources to operate/maintain the whole terminal’s structures and all other associated equipments and operational matters that can have a bearing on marine operations aspects such as berths occupancy, occurrence of sea pollution etc. Liaise with PPA’s Port Officer and IRSHAD regarding matters relating to berthing/off berthing operations, executions and adhering to port regulations. Ensures that the facilities/equipments are properly maintained and safe for operation. In addition to the above, the jobholder is responsible to train and mentor national developees to satisfy company nationalization policy.
This position based in Ruwais is at Section Head Level.
